Firewall Engineer Expert level with Palo Alto.

Must have also strong Azure experience

Enterprise experience is a must

Palo Alto certifications would be ideal they assume an expert in Palo Alto will have it

Very well spoken, interview will be situational technical and needs to be able to communicate very well

As a Senior Palo Alto Firewall Engineer, you will be responsible for managing, configuring, and securing our network infrastructure. In this hybrid role, you will work 2 or 3 days a week onsite at our Deerfield Beach, FL HQ campus. You will play a key role in designing and maintaining security policies for our hybrid cloud environment, ensuring robust protection for critical business data and applications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and Implement: Configure and manage Palo Alto firewall solutions to secure our network infrastructure.
• Hybrid Cloud Security: Work on securing both Azure and AWS environments, ensuring best practices are applied for network security.
• Firewall Management: Handle tasks such as VPN setup, site-to-site VPNs, IPSec tunnels, SSL VPNs, and ensuring the enforcement of network security policies.
• Monitoring and Alerts: Use monitoring tools to proactively identify security incidents, and respond effectively to firewall-related alerts and security events.
• Optimization: Troubleshoot network issues, optimize firewall performance, and maintain security through regular updates and backups.
• Collaboration: Partner with cross-functional teams to enforce security controls and resolve complex issues.
• Documentation: Maintain clear, organized documentation for configurations, incident resolutions, and security measures.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in firewall engineering, with hands-on experience in Palo Alto Networks firewalls.
• Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Engineer (PCNSE) or equivalent certification is highly preferred.
• Strong cloud security expertise in Azure and AWS, with knowledge of cloud-native security services.
• In-depth knowledge of network security principles such as VPN, NAT, routing, and threat prevention.
• Automation experience to streamline firewall deployments.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve network and security issues efficiently.
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across technical teams.
