Network Engineer
The Opportunity:

A well-designed network is critical to move data and enable agencies to achieve their missions, but how can an organization make sure their network will fit their current and evolving needs? Crafting the right network with the right equipment and sof tware requires a combination of technical skill and careful planning. That's why we need you, an experienced network engineer who knows how to develop the exact network to meet mission needs.

As a Network Engineer on our team, you'll use your experience in system design, system administration, and network design to support the nation's defense and resp ond to evolving adversaries. You'll troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues, analyze current working infrastructures and increase security, reliability, and availability for mission-critical network systems.

You'll apply your expertise in network design and architecture, system interoperability, IP engineering, network transport layers, and system administration as you join our team of problem-solvers to help clients evolve and deploy new capabilities and technologies.

Your knowledge of network protocols, equipment, emerging technology, and configurations will come in handy as you optimize client operations and modernization. Using your experience in key management, sof tware and hardware firewalls, and cloud migration and administration, you'll serve as a t rus ted advisor to clients on mission-critical projects. Using your technical curiosity and knowledge of industry standards, you'll make an impact on national security missions.

You Have:
  • 3+ years of experience with systems engineering, integration, and Tier 3 system administration on Linux systems
  • 2+ years of experience configuring and deploying cloud architectures with AWS resources
  • Experience maintaining system security, including applying patches and configuring equipment
  • Experience with requirements discovery and refinement with clients
  • Ability to reconcile client needs with delivery timelines
  • TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph
  • Bachelor's degree and 3+ years of experience in network engineering, or 7+ years of experience in network engineering in lieu of a degree


Nice If You Have:
  • Experience with Tier 1 or Tier 2 system administration on Linux systems


Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information ; TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is required.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $77,600.00 to $176,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
