Responsibilities would include working with the test lead and a team of talented test professionals (both local and remote) to identify, create, review, document, and formally execute manual and automated web based, android and iOS tests based on medical standards within an agile framework. Also looking for engineers who are willing to propose innovation within the test organization to ensure the highest quality of software is provided in an ever-changing environment.

The Neuroscience Portfolio group develops life-restoring therapies and healthcare solutions that span the neurological care continuum including integrating technologies and applying clinical and economic evidence to increase patient access, improve efficiency of procedures and deliver successful patient outcomes. A Day in the Life

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.

  • Support the creation, review, documentation, and formal execution of tests (both automated and manual) based on software requirements and documented APIs
  • Gain experience working in a regulated environment including how to write, review, and document code and tests for regulatory agencies
  • Work with test lead to successfully implement and monitor test deliveries
  • Help define tests based on requirements using the Gherkin business readable test description language
  • Develop good communication channels with all test team employees
  • Keep abreast of technical and industry trends related to software design and testing
  • Work on initiatives to drive continuously improvements in test processes and procedures
  • Provide concise, timely, and accurate status reports of all verification activities
  • Follow standards defined by the Food and Drug Administration for the medical device industry


Must Have: Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in a tech related field required
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with 0 years of experience


Nice to Have

  • Experience with android or iOS mobile application testing
  • Experience with commercial automated test frameworks
  • Experience with test execution frameworks (e.g., Jenkins)
  • Experience with automated scripting (e.g., Java, Python)
  • Experience leading a team of test engineers
  • Experience working with other leaders to establish project scope, duration, and resourcing
  • Experience with code repositories (e.g., GitHub, Gitlab)
  • Experience with Java or Groovy Object-Oriented development
  • Experience with BOTH mobile and web-based application testing
  • Experience with utilization of testing through device farms (e.g., Sauce Labs)
  • Broad knowledge of software test architecture and software tools for Web and mobile software applications
  • Experience with core software development
  • Experience as a quality analyst or quality specialist
  • Experience with medical device software testing (especially per IEC 62304)
  • Participation in and understanding of Agile software development
  • Experience defining XML and JSON
  • Knowledge of wireless network technologies.
  • Experience with responsive design
  • Experience with task management tools (e.g., Jira)
  • Understanding of Continuous Integration / Continuous Deployment (CI/CD)
  • Understanding of cloud-based technologies (e.g., PaaS, SaaS)

The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico. Base pay is based on numerous factors and may vary by job-related knowledge, skills, experience, etc. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).
