Job Details
Job Overview:
- To better serve the global auto industry electric vehicle trend in the United States, we are seeking a dedicated and experienced Mechanical Engineer who has specialized knowledge in software to join our local team.
- The Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for developing and maintaining the technical standards related to software and network configurations used in mechanical systems. This role includes auditing changes to equipment, providing essential technical support, and assisting in the formulation of standards for visual programming and algorithms. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in both mechanical engineering and software development.
Responsibilities
Essential Functions:
- PLC Programming and Debugging: Design and develop PLC programs to achieve automated control of equipment. Use PLC programming software (such as Rockwell Studio 5000, Siemens TIA Portal, etc.) for programming and debugging. Write and optimize PLC logic to ensure system stability and reliability.
- System Integration: Be responsible for the integration of automation systems, including the connection of PLCs with sensors, actuators, and HMIs (Human-Machine Interfaces). Ensure seamless communication between the automation system and higher-level computers (such as MES, ERP).
- Equipment Maintenance and Troubleshooting: Monitor the operating status of automation systems and promptly resolve equipment failures. Regularly maintain and upgrade PLC systems to ensure long-term stable operation of the equipment.
- Technical Support: Provide technical support to the on-site team to resolve issues in the operation of automation equipment. Assist mechanical and electrical engineers in system optimization.
- Documentation: Write PLC program documentation and operating manuals to ensure the completeness and accuracy of technical materials.
Qualifications
- Possess programming and configuration capabilities for SIEMENS PLC and OMRON PLC, as well as relevant engineering experience; be familiar with the program structure and control system maintenance of six-axis robots, and have experience in programming and debugging of RS232, RS485, free port, and TCP/IP communications.
- Be familiar with the programming and configuration of HMI (Siemens/ProFace/Weiluntong) and have relevant engineering experience.
- Be familiar with the programming and configuration of SCADA (Wincc Professional/Classic Wincc) and have relevant engineering experience.
- Lead the joint design of overseas standard production lines with three parties, and execute the design and standardization of electrical architecture, network topology, and program standardization.
- Implement FAT (Factory Acceptance Test) standards for production lines and review the actual implementation.
- Participate in equipment supervision, installation, commissioning, and delivery operations to achieve turnkey projects.
- Be able to complete various tasks assigned on-site, such as PLC program improvements and functional optimizations.
- Strong communication and learning skills.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to move around work sites, which may include walking, standing, and climbing ladders or stairs.
- Flexibility to bend, kneel, or crouch, particularly when inspecting installations or troubleshooting.
- Capability to lift and carry moderate weights, typically up to 25-50 pounds.
- Occasional lifting of heavier items may be required.
- Ability to work in various environments, including offices, construction sites, and manufacturing facilities.
- Willingness and ability to travel to various job sites, which may require driving or other forms of transportation.
