Senior AI Product Manager Innovation & IoT Solutions

About the Role

Client is launching a new strategic initiative designed to transform a traditionally hardware-focused organization into a software- and AI-driven solutions leader. Mission is to build integrated, data-powered AI products that unlock new revenue opportunities, deliver personalized experiences, and drive measurable operational impact for customers across industries.

As a Senior AI Product Manager, you will lead cross-functional innovation pods to take new AI/software products from concept to MVP and scale them into market-ready offerings. This is a highly visible, entrepreneurial role with significant autonomy to build 0 1 products using real-world IoT data.

What You ll Do

• Lead end-to-end product development of AI and software solutions that enhance and monetize connected hardware.

• Translate customer pain points into AI/ML applications such as predictive maintenance, energy optimization, computer vision insights, and intelligent automation.

• Guide cross-functional teams (engineering, data science, strategy, and GTM) through rapid experimentation, MVP definition, and product-market fit validation.

• Collaborate closely with data scientists and ML engineers to evaluate data quality, model feasibility, and architecture requirements.

• Integrate hardware realities sensors, connectivity, edge computing with advanced software and AI capabilities.

• Communicate complex AI concepts and trade-offs to non-technical audiences and senior leadership.

• Define success metrics, run pilots, measure outcomes, and iterate quickly based on customer feedback.

• Develop replicable frameworks and playbooks that enable scalable AI product development across the organization.

What Success Looks Like

• 6 Months: Launch a validated MVP in a real customer environment

• 12 Months: Deliver a paid product with a defined path to scale

• Long-Term: Establish foundational AI product capabilities used across multiple business units

Required Qualifications

• 10+ years of product management experience, including delivering AI/ML-powered software products.

• Proven track record driving 0 1 product development in ambiguous, fast-moving environments.

• Experience with IoT, hardware software integration, connected devices, or industrial systems.

• Strong technical fluency comfortable discussing model types, training data needs, evaluation metrics, and ML architectures.

• Solid grasp of AI/ML concepts (supervised/unsupervised learning, prediction, classification, generative AI).

• Familiarity with sensors, connectivity protocols, edge computing, and cloud IoT infrastructure.

• Strong cross-functional leadership and ability to influence without authority.

• Ability to translate business problems into clear AI/ML product requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

• AI product experience within industrial sectors (manufacturing, energy, supply chain, retail, logistics).

• Experience launching large-scale hardware or IoT products.

• Background in edge AI, computer vision, predictive analytics, or automation.

• Experience working in enterprise innovation, digital transformation, or incubation environments.

• Global or cross-cultural collaboration experience.
