Job Description:

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Conversational AI Engineer to design, build, and optimize enterprise-grade chatbot and voice solutions. This role focuses on leveraging Microsoft Azure AI technologies to deliver secure, scalable, and intelligent conversational experiences across multiple platforms.

What Success Looks Like

In this role, you will:

  • Design and develop enterprise chatbot and voice solutions using Azure Bot Service and Power Virtual Agents
  • Integrate conversational platforms with tools such as Genesys, Twilio, and Microsoft Teams
  • Implement and optimize LLM pipelines, ASR/TTS voice models, and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) architectures
  • Build secure, scalable integrations with enterprise platforms (CRM, ITSM, security systems) using APIs and event-driven architectures
  • Ensure security, compliance, and accessibility, including PII protection, encryption, and adherence to GDPR and global standards
  • Monitor and continuously improve bot performance using analytics, A/B testing, and optimization techniques (latency, containment rate, CSAT)
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with product and engineering teams
  • Mentor junior developers and help define conversational AI best practices

Required Qualifications

You will be successful in this role if you have:

  • 5+ years of software engineering experience
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in conversational AI (chat & voice)
  • Strong expertise in:
    • Azure, Azure AI Foundry, Azure AI Search
    • LLM/NLU orchestration, Vector Databases
    • Whisper or similar voice models
    • WebRTC services
  • Solid backend development skills in Python and/or C#
  • Experience building and consuming REST APIs
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, cloud architecture, and security best practices
  • Ability to work independently while thriving in an agile, fast-paced environment
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
