Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced DNS and Kubernetes Subject Matter Expert to design, implement, and optimize scalable, secure, and high-performance networking and containerized environments. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in DNS infrastructure, Kubernetes orchestration, cloud networking, and automation, ensuring seamless integration across hybrid and multi-cloud environments.

Responsibilities:
  • Design, configure, and maintain enterprise DNS infrastructure using AWS Route 53, BIND, or Bluecat.
  • Implement DNSSEC, Anycast, split-horizon DNS, and cross-account resolution for secure and reliable name resolution.
  • Automate DNS provisioning and management using Terraform or Python.
  • Optimize DNS traffic flow, redundancy, and failover strategies to ensure high availability.
  • Integrate DNS with Kubernetes service discovery, cloud networking, and hybrid architectures.
  • Troubleshoot DNS resolution issues, latency, and security threats such as cache poisoning and DDoS attacks.
  • Kubernetes Responsibilities:
  • Architect and manage Kubernetes clusters in AWS (EKS) & Azure (AKS).
  • Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for Kubernetes deployments using GitOps tools like ArgoCD.
  • Implement container networking policies, service discovery, and load balancing.
  • Manage Ingress controllers, service meshes (Istio), and API gateways.
  • Ensure Kubernetes security through RBAC, network policies, and container runtime security.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot Kubernetes workloads, nodes, and networking issues using Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of experience in DNS management and cloud-native infrastructure.
  • Expertise in AWS Route 53, Bluecat, BIND, or enterprise DNS solutions.
  • Deep understanding of Kubernetes networking, service discovery, and ingress configurations.
  • Strong proficiency in Terraform, and scripting (Python, Shell).
  • Experience with multi-cloud or hybrid Kubernetes deployments.
  • Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, Anycast, DHCP, BGP, and firewall rules.
  • Ability to troubleshoot large-scale distributed systems.

Salary transparency

Salary is one part of Autodesk's competitive compensation package. For U.S.-based roles, we expect a starting base salary between $121,000 and $195,800. Offers are based on the candidate's experience and geographic location, and may exceed this range. In addition to base salaries, we also have a significant emphasis on annual cash bonuses, commissions for sales roles, stock grants, and a comprehensive benefits package.
