One of our major clients is seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused IT Help Desk Technician who excels at solving technical issues while providing exceptional support. In this role, you'll serve as both the first and second point of contact for technical assistance, supporting and enhancing the Microsoft 365 environment, secure file management systems (Egnyte), Microsoft Teams Rooms, and local network infrastructure. This is a direct hire opportunity reporting onsite to Des Plaines, IL with occasional travel to Chicago and Barrington.
Qualifications
- 3 5 years of experience in a Help Desk or IT support role, handling both Level 1 and Level 2 support issues
- Excellent communication skills with a strong focus on customer service and user satisfaction
- Proficient with Microsoft 365, Entra ID / Azure Active Directory, and Intune
- Hands-on experience supporting Microsoft Teams Room systems
- Solid foundational knowledge of networking concepts, including IP addressing, DNS, DHCP, switches, and Wi-Fi
- Understanding of cybersecurity best practices, including endpoint protection, multi-factor authentication (MFA), secure access, and patch management
- Experience supporting Egnyte or similar cloud-based file-sharing platforms
- Familiarity with hybrid IT environments and VPN setup/configuration
- Experience troubleshooting printers and peripheral devices
- Proficient with remote support tools such as TeamViewer, Quick Assist, AnyDesk, and Ninja
- Relevant certifications are a plus (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator)
- Previous experience working in hybrid or remote-first workplace settings
- Ability to document procedures clearly and contribute to a centralized knowledge base
- Experience working in the construction industry a plus
- The candidate must have a car, as this position requires travel between location and the transportation of equipment
- A valid driver s license and proof of vehicle insurance will be required
- Legally authorized to work in the US without sponsorship
- Must demonstrate a can-do attitude

Compensation Range:
$32-37/hr
