As the Principal Business Operations Lead, you will operate in a strategic leadership role focused on driving operational excellence and business growth by partnering with senior executives to manage planning, performance metrics, and strategic initiatives across a business unit. This person acts as a strategic advisor, spearheads operational reviews, creates data-driven solutions to complex challenges, and fosters cross-functional alignment to ensure the organization achieves its goals. Key responsibilities include strategic planning, financial management, process improvement, and high-level communication with stakeholders at all levels.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Planning & Execution:
  • Lead the annual strategic and operational planning processes for the organization.
  • Oversee the creation of 3-year vision plans and business unit strategies.
  • Translate the strategic vision into actionable priorities and executable plans.
    • Performance Management & Reporting:
  • Drive the cadence and content for business, operational, and strategic reviews.
  • Monitor and facilitate the progress of executive goals and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Develop and maintain management dashboards, executive review documents, and performance reports.
    • Operational Excellence & Process Improvement:
  • Identify and implement long-term strategies and mechanisms for business improvement.
  • Drive the development and implementation of scalable processes and systems to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Foster continuous improvement and best practices across the organization.
    • Cross-Functional Leadership & Stakeholder Engagement:
  • Act as a "chief of staff" and strategic thought partner to a VP and senior leadership team.
  • Partner closely with Finance, HR, Legal, Operations, and other business units to drive initiatives.
  • Influence stakeholders at all levels and build strong relationships to drive consensus and support for strategic initiatives.
    • Data Analytics & Problem Solving:
  • Synthesize complex data sets to surface key insights and trends for executive decision-making.
  • Utilize deep-dive analytics to identify operational gaps and opportunities.
  • Drive data-driven decision-making and develop solutions to key business challenges.
