About the Role

We are seeking an experienced AWS EKS and Terraform Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in designing, deploying, and managing containerized workloads in AWS using Kubernetes (EKS) and Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) principles with Terraform. You will play a critical role in developing scalable, secure, and efficient infrastructure solutions to support our cloud initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and manage Kubernetes clusters using Amazon EKS
  • Develop and maintain Terraform modules and scripts for infrastructure provisioning and management
  • Build and manage CI/CD pipelines for deploying applications into Kubernetes environments
  • Optimize cluster configurations for performance, security, and cost efficiency
  • Collaborate with development, security, and operations teams to ensure smooth deployment and operation of services
  • Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting for EKS environments
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to infrastructure, deployments, and container orchestration
  • Maintain documentation for infrastructure designs, standards, and best practices
  • Participate in on-call rotation for production support as required

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
  • 4+ years of experience working with AWS services, particularly EKS
  • Strong hands-on experience with Terraform for Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC)
  • Deep understanding of Kubernetes architecture, components, and operations
  • Experience in deploying, managing, and troubleshooting containerized applications
  • Solid knowledge of networking concepts, security best practices, and IAM in AWS
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions)
  • Experience with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch, ELK)
  • Proficiency with Git and version control practices
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently

Preferred Qualifications

  • AWS certification(s) such as AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Solutions Architect, or Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA)
  • Experience with Helm for Kubernetes package management
  • Exposure to serverless technologies (e.g., AWS Lambda)
  • Familiarity with Service Mesh technologies (e.g., Istio, Linkerd)
  • Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or Go
