RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client seeking a remote Staff Software Engineer to join their team.
Summary:
The Staff Software Engineer will be supporting an application to make it more efficient and promote ease of use. They are currently rewriting some of the backend flows, mainly java 21+ and migrating off of Informix and to a new data source. Everything is built in Java, springboot, Google Cloud Platform (pub sub, github actions, Bigquery etc.) and they do have a small react UI. The design for the most part is set, but they need a true lead/staff to come in, guide the team, work with the stakeholders, take ownership and drive this project to completion. The Staff Software Engineer will be 50% hands on/off and will dive in and code when need be, but also be helping and mentoring the team. They primarily need a backend Java, Springboot, Google Cloud Platform expert who is also technology agnostic and can assist with the UI as well.
REQUIREMENTS:
* 8+ years of Java 11/14/21+ experience
* Expertise in Springboot
* Experience in Google Cloud Platform (big query, pub sub, etc.)
* Experience leading a team
* Experience with design/architecture and working with stakeholders
* Strong desire to work in a fast paced agile environment and learn/collaborate with a well-balanced team
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
