Job Description: IT Project Manager

Location: Alpharetta GA

Duration: 6 Months

About the Role

We are seeking experienced Project Managers to lead and coordinate initiatives focused on Delivery Services and Certification Renewal. These roles are critical in ensuring the successful execution of projects that involve cross-functional collaboration, technical complexity, and tight timelines. The ideal candidates will have a strong background in project management, excellent communication skills, and the ability to guide teams through ambiguity and change.

Key Responsibilities

Project Planning & Execution:

  • Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables in alignment with business goals.
  • Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and resource allocation strategies.
  • Monitor project progress and adjust plans as needed to meet deadlines and quality standards.

Team Leadership & Collaboration:

  • Lead cross-functional teams including technical, business, and vendor resources.
  • Facilitate daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, and other Agile ceremonies.
  • Provide guidance and support to team members to resolve blockers and ensure productivity.

Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Act as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Communicate project status, risks, and issues clearly and effectively.
  • Manage stakeholder expectations and ensure alignment throughout the project lifecycle.

Risk & Issue Management:

  • Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Proactively manage issues and escalate when necessary to ensure timely resolution.

Quality Assurance & Compliance:

  • Ensure that all project deliverables meet quality standards and compliance requirements.
  • Coordinate with QA teams to plan and execute testing phases.

Documentation & Reporting:

  • Maintain comprehensive project documentation including charters, plans, meeting notes, and status reports.
  • Provide regular updates to leadership and contribute to post-project reviews and lessons learned.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 5 8 years of experience in project management, preferably in IT infrastructure, certification, or service delivery domains.
  • Proven ability to manage complex projects with multiple stakeholders and dependencies.
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, or Hybrid).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience working in onsite/offshore delivery models.
  • Ability to lead teams through ambiguity and drive results under pressure.
  • Proficiency in project management tools such as MS Project, JIRA, Confluence, Trello, or similar.
  • PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile certification is a plus.

Preferred Experience

  • Familiarity with Linux environments or infrastructure projects is a plus.
  • Experience in certification renewal or compliance-driven projects.
  • Deep knowledge of IT security best practices and compliance regulations.
  • Proven experience in IT project management, with a strong understanding of IT infrastructure, systems, and operations.
