Job Title: Business Analyst

Job Description:
A government agency is seeking a Business Analyst to support long-term projects using Agile methodologies. This role involves analyzing and documenting business functions and requirements, supporting backlog management, and facilitating alignment between business needs and technical implementation. The successful candidate will participate in all relevant team meetings and Scrum ceremonies to ensure successful project execution.
Responsibilities:
Use Agile methods to analyze and document business functions and requirements.
Consult with stakeholders to identify and document business functions, needs, objectives, operational procedures, and input/output requirements.
Analyze the integration of business functions with technology solutions.
Perform and/or facilitate both business and technical analysis throughout the project lifecycle.
Identify and document relevant business processes from legacy application data systems.
Manage and prioritize the product backlog in coordination with development teams.
Create detailed user stories and technical requirements.
Participate in Scrum ceremonies, design sessions, and team meetings.
Mandatory Qualifications:
Minimum 3 years of experience in business analysis, including eliciting, analyzing, and documenting business functions, processes, and requirements.
Minimum 2 years of experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban), including writing user stories and maintaining product backlogs.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Proven experience creating requirements documentation for complex projects.
Preferred Qualifications (Nice-to-Have):
Experience with legal contract management.
Familiarity with setting up IT projects for development teams.
Experience with user story prioritization.
Experience identifying and documenting business processes in legacy systems.
Business Analysis certifications (e.g., PMI-PBA, CBAP).
Experience in quality assurance testing of software applications.
Experience creating operating procedures, user guides, or training materials.
Experience using wireframe/mockup tools like Figma to support initial UI/UX design.
