Job Description: The IT Project Manager will be responsible for leading infrastructure, network, and change management projects within the local government. The primary responsibilities include developing project plans, coordinating with internal departments, collaborating with external stakeholders, fostering change acceptance, creating communication and training materials, monitoring project progress, adhering to change management processes, contributing to project efficiency, and managing multiple projects simultaneously.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Develop requirements document, project plans, and schedules.
  • Work closely with supervisors for resource allocation.
  • Coordinate with internal County departments on communication to County staff.
  • Collaborate and align efforts with departments both within and outside the county.
  • Foster change acceptance and adoption among frontline employees with modern technologies.
  • Develop change communications and training documents tailored to specific audiences, both internal and external.
  • Monitor and communicate project progress and status to stakeholders on a weekly basis.
  • Adhere to established change management processes.
  • Contribute to the efficiency and effectiveness of assigned projects by offering suggestions or direction as a team member.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Required Qualifications:

  • Excellent command of written and spoken English, demonstrating fluency in both oral and writing communications.
  • At a minimum, have fundamental knowledge of Infrastructure, Networks and Radio/Microwave components, Active Directory, Windows, and Cloud Technologies.
  • A minimum of eight (8) years in the Information Technology field.
  • A minimum of three (3) years strictly working in Land Development local government departments utilizing systems such as Accela, EPermitHub, Selectron, ServiceNow, SeeClickFix, File360, and Document Management Servers.
  • A bachelor's degree or a minimum of three (3) years of experience managing IT technical projects in local government.
  • Ability to organize and lead highly technical focus groups composed of primarily Infrastructure, Network Systems, and Desktop services.
  • Demonstrates professional organization, documentation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with external stakeholders as well as internal staff.
  • Analytical problem-solving abilities, proactive/positive team player, resourceful, innovative.
  • Hands-on experience developing both technical and user-friendly communications.
  • Documenting technical requirements, creating project plans, and monitoring progress using ServiceNow.
  • Proven multi-tasking skills, including the ability to work effectively under pressure, handle heavy volumes, and meet demanding deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Products including MS Project and Visio, ITIL Tools.
  • Ability to work onsite.

Preferred Skills:

  • Pass a stringent criminal background check (May take up to 8 weeks).
