Position Summary:
This position is part of UVS InfoTech's Managed Services Team, supporting compliance and accessibility needs for various commercial, higher education, and federal clients. The role focuses on performing compliance checks, providing recommendations for remediation, and implementing remediation strategies to ensure accessibility standards are met. The individual will work collaboratively with stakeholders to identify accessibility gaps, propose solutions, and drive improvements across applications and digital resources. Strong communication skills are essential to effectively convey findings, recommend actions, and ensure alignment with client goals.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough accessibility and compliance checks on digital content, applications, and systems.
- Identify and document accessibility gaps and compliance issues.
- Develop detailed recommendations for remediation to meet accessibility standards and client requirements.
- Implement remediation strategies, including adjustments to content, code, and functionality.
- Work closely with stakeholders to ensure compliance goals are understood and achieved.
- Provide guidance and support to teams during the remediation process.
- Maintain accurate records of compliance reviews, remediation plans, and outcomes.
- Stay updated on accessibility and compliance standards to ensure best practices are applied.
Required Skills:
- Ability to identify compliance issues, recommend remediation steps, and implement solutions effectively.
- Familiarity with accessibility tools and software, as well as core technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Strong oral and written communication skills to present findings and recommendations clearly to diverse stakeholders.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to address complex compliance challenges and implement practical solutions.
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams to achieve compliance goals.
- Strong organizational skills to handle multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines.
Education and Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience conducting compliance reviews and accessibility audits.
- Familiarity with accessibility standards and frameworks, including relevant industry best practices.
- Prior experience in accessibility remediation, including hands-on updates to content and systems.
- Strong technical aptitude and the ability to learn new tools and platforms as needed.
