About the Role:

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Performance Test Engineer with extensive experience in load and performance testing, especially in Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) preferably Manhattan WMS. This role requires deep technical expertise in LoadRunner (web/http, MQ, RTE), relational databases (SQL), and a solid understanding of enterprise retail and logistics environments.

You will be responsible for designing, preparing, executing, and reporting on end-to-end performance testing activities. This includes Volume, Stress, Endurance, and High Availability Failover Testing as part of a structured SDLC. The ideal candidate has experience working across cross-functional teams and leading offshore resources.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to define Performance Testing (PT) requirements for Manhattan WMS.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams developers, DBAs, environment teams to set up E2E test environments.
  • Define and document test scope, strategy, and plans for performance testing.
  • Design test scripts for Volume, Performance, Stress, and Failover scenarios using LoadRunner.
  • Execute performance tests and analyze results to identify system bottlenecks and scalability issues.
  • Create and manage performance test datasets in coordination with application and infrastructure teams.
  • Mentor and guide offshore test teams ensure delivery quality and adherence to best practices.
  • Serve as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams, communicating performance results and recommendations.
  • Proactively contribute to the *Performance Test COE* (Center of Excellence) to improve tools, frameworks, and methodologies.
  • Stay updated with trends and advancements in performance testing best practices and tools.

Must-Have Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of hands-on experience with load/performance testing in enterprise environments.
  • Proven experience with Retail domain and WMS applications (especially Manhattan).
  • Strong expertise in LoadRunner using web/http, HTML, MQ protocols, and Remote Terminal Emulator (RTE).
  • Solid understanding of relational databases (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server) and proficiency in SQL for test validation and data creation.
  • Experience in HA/Failover testing, endurance runs, and volume testing.
  • Strong knowledge of infrastructure concepts: networks, firewalls, database tiers, application servers.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience in performance testing tools beyond LoadRunner (e.g., JMeter, Neoload).
  • Exposure to cloud-based environments, especially AWS/Google Cloud Platform-based performance testing practices.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and performance testing integration.
  • Familiarity with monitoring tools (e.g., Dynatrace, AppDynamics, Grafana, Splunk).

Education & Certification Requirements:

  • Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent work experience.
  • Professional certifications in performance testing or related technologies are a plus.
