RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Senior Analyst Customs Compliance in Katy, TX.
Responsibilities:
* Senior Analyst Customs Compliance will ensure compliance with U.S. import regulations and correct classification of goods
* Handle day-to-day customs issues, including clearance delays and broker coordination
* Manage and expand the First Sale Program in partnership with sourcing and vendors
* Identify classification opportunities to minimize duties within CBP compliance
* Oversee customs duties processing via the Periodic Monthly Statement Process
* Ensure proper documentation for import items and communicate with internal teams
* Track shipment status, coordinate delivery schedules, and recommend process improvements
* As a Senior Analyst Customs Compliance, you will conduct internal audits and manage compliance with C-TPAT, ISA, and IPR programs
* Collaborate cross-functionally with sourcing, logistics, buying, and DC operations
* Analyze customs entries and support audit activities
* Ensure adherence to company policies, safety rules, and professional standards
REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's degree in Business or a related field required
* 5+ years in customs compliance, audit, logistics, or related areas
* Experience managing customs-related programs (e.g., First Sale Program, import audits) and resolving clearance delays
* Knowledge of U.S. import regulations and product classification using the Harmonized Tariff Schedule
* Strong data analysis and decision-making skills
* Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask and work independently
* Effective verbal and written communication skills to collaborate with internal departments and external partners
* High level of accuracy in documentation, classification, and duty payment processes
* Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and customs compliance software
* Ability to accurately classify products and assign correct duty rates according to CBP guidelines
* Strong ability to analyze complex data and processes to identify improvements and resolve issues
* Clear vision and hearing to perform job duties
* Regular attendance and adherence to work policies required
Preferred:
* Customs Broker license or Certified Customs Specialist preferred
* Knowledge of FTZ operations and warehouse/distribution systems preferred
* Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with customs software preferred
* Experience in retail, apparel/footwear, or sporting goods a plus
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
