IMMEDIATE NEED FOR CAD DESIGNER - INTERVIEW ASAP

Job Title: CAD Desinger
Location: Minneapolis, MN

Working Conditions: 3 days in the office per week
Job type: 6+ Months Contract
Interview Process: Two 30-minute interviews, back to back
Start Date: ASAP
Day to day: Tracking requests for new and revised models and drawings through ticketing system. Reviewing change and new product design requests and delegating to engineers or themselves based on the need. May be providing renderings or models for analyis, 3D printing, etc.
Description of need:
This contract position provides technical mechanical CAD and drawing support to new product development and standard product support of engineering activities, providing engineering drafting practices, CAD assembly setup, and document control.
Position Requirements:
Mechanical drafting, design and engineering technology two year technical degree or equivalent.
3-5 years of recent experience in a drafting or CAD modeling position with the majority of time spent using SolidWorks.
Excellent SolidWorks knowledge and skills.
SolidWorks Certification a plus.
Knowledge of SolidWorks PDM system.
Working knowledge of CREO and Windchill a plus.
Proficiency in mechanical design drafting practices, including full compliance with ASME Standard Y14.5 2009 and relevant GD&T standards.
Proficiency in using MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) suite of software.
Proficiency in performing mechanical engineering calculations is a plus.
Proficiency in design for plastic injection molding, 3D printing, and sheet metal fabrication is a plus
