Job Summary:

We are looking for a Mid-Level Data Center Technician to support overnight operations on a rotating schedule. This role ensures the smooth operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of critical data center infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in networking, server management, and issue resolution.

Work Schedule & Environment:

  • Overnight Shift: Three days a week-either Sunday to Tuesday or Thursday to Saturday, alternating Wednesdays.
  • Fast-paced data center environment requiring occasional heavy lifting and hardware installation.
  • Work may involve extended standing periods and emergency troubleshooting.
  • Autonomous work environment with remote coordination during late hours.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and maintain data center equipment, including servers, storage systems, and networking hardware.
  • Perform troubleshooting, diagnostics, and repairs for both hardware and software issues.
  • Ensure uninterrupted service through proactive system monitoring and responding to alerts.
  • Conduct scheduled maintenance, updates, and data backups during overnight hours.
  • Maintain organized cabling and uphold data center infrastructure standards.
  • Adhere to security protocols to safeguard sensitive information and equipment.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to ensure seamless transitions between shifts.
  • Document maintenance activities, configurations, and troubleshooting procedures.

Qualifications:

  • 2-4 years of experience in data center operations or IT infrastructure support.
  • Strong expertise in networking, server hardware, and virtualization.
  • Ability to diagnose system failures and implement quick, effective solutions.
  • Knowledge of data center best practices, including cooling, power management, and security.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently during overnight hours with minimal in-person support.
  • Certifications such as CompTIA Server+, Network+, or AWS Certified Advanced Networking are a plus.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $25.00/hr.
