We're seeking a System Solutions / Sales Engineer to join a dynamic, mission-driven team delivering critical communications solutions to public safety agencies and enterprise customers across the Southeast U.S. In this role, you'll act as a technical expert and trusted advisor, helping to shape complex radio and network systems that improve public safety and operational readiness in high-stakes environments-from municipalities and schools to healthcare and business operations.


You will work closely with internal sales teams, engineers, and field technicians, while also engaging directly with customers to understand their needs and craft tailored, scalable solutions. responsibilities:


  • Design and propose innovative communications solutions tailored to customer requirements.
  • Lead and support technical aspects of the sales cycle including solution architecture, RF system design, quoting, BOM creation, and compliance vetting.
  • Deliver persuasive product demonstrations and presentations to executive and technical audiences.
  • Act as a liaison between customer needs and internal development or sales strategy.
  • Support responses to RFPs and generate technical proposal content.
  • Maintain expert knowledge of radio communications systems, backhaul, and IP networks.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with sales, project managers, field service, and engineering.
  • Identify and document customer requirements and potential feature gaps.


qualifications:


  • 5+ years of experience with one or more major LMR (Land Mobile Radio) manufacturers: L3Harris, Tait, Kenwood, EF Johnson, or Motorola.
  • Strong knowledge of RF system design, including trunked, conventional, and analog radio solutions.
  • Understanding of microwave and backhaul technologies.
  • Experience designing or supporting IP-based communications systems.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills with the ability to communicate with technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Self-driven and collaborative, with strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 35% domestically.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Visio.
