Senior Business Analyst Consultant (Hybrid Chanhassen, MN)

Contract | Long-Term Engagement Expected | Onsite 3 Days/Week

We are seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst Consultant to support a cutting-edge digital transformation effort. This role is part of a newly launched modernization initiative focused on reimagining core business functions across a large enterprise environment. The contract is initially structured for 6 months with strong potential for multi-year engagement.


Overview

You ll be joining a high-performing cross-functional team made up of senior engineers, working alongside leadership stakeholders to drive clarity, decision-making, and forward momentum. This is not a traditional BA role it s built for someone who thrives in dynamic, unstructured settings and can serve as the connective thread between vision and execution.

Rather than being boxed into rigid processes, you ll dig into the why behind business systems and decisions, shaping the future of key platforms by collaborating closely with executive sponsors and technical experts.


What You ll Do

  • Bridge strategic business priorities and technical execution by distilling executive vision into actionable guidance for engineering teams.

  • Conduct deep-dive conversations with business leaders and technical stakeholders to surface logic behind rules, systems, and desired outcomes.

  • Evaluate trade-offs between custom vs. out-of-the-box functionality, supporting decision-making with thoughtful cost and benefit analysis.

  • Offer light-touch but effective documentation to ensure the entire team understands goals, context, and direction no bloated requirement docs here.

  • Enable developers to move fast by clarifying scope, priorities, and success metrics without micromanaging the delivery process.

  • Influence decision-making by drawing on strong communication skills, analytical thinking, and business acumen.


Ideal Background

  • 7+ years of experience in a Business Analyst, Strategy Consultant, or hybrid Product Owner role.

  • Comfortably toggles between big-picture thinking and detail-driven execution.

  • Strong interpersonal skills; able to collaborate with C-level executives and translate conversations into usable frameworks for developers.

  • Experience in environments that don t fit into a perfect Agile or Waterfall box hybrid or fast-paced delivery teams are a plus.

  • Consulting or product strategy experience preferred, particularly for candidates who ve influenced both technical and business directions.

  • Confident navigating ambiguity and change this is a high-trust, high-speed environment.
