Astrion has an exciting opportunity for an Acquisition Program Management SME to support t he Tactical Data Networks Enterprise (TDNE) program office, which is within the Aerial Networks Division (AFLCMC/HNA) and located at Hanscom AFB, MA.

The position provides expert (SME) level acquisition program management support to the Tactical Data Networks Enterprise (TDNE) branch and the Second-Generation Anti-Jam Tactical Ultra High Frequency (UHF) Radio (SATURN) program.

The Tactical Data Networks Enterprise (TDNE) contributes to the development, delivery and deployment of the next generation aerial layer network through a portfolio of legacy and advanced waveforms and airborne network management/development efforts that advance interoperability and connectivity

LOCATION: Hanscom AFB, MA

JOB STATUS: Full time; salaried

TRAVEL: CONUS travel up to 10% may be required

SECURITY CLEARANCE: A Top Secret security clearance is required

RESPONSBILITIES:
  • Investigate, analyze, plan, evaluate, draft and/or recommend solutions for project/program efforts.
  • Provide expert level issue resolution and recommendation support to achieve desired program outcomes.
  • Apply broad knowledge of organizational missions and programs, such as acquisition management and modernization planning.
  • Apply knowledge of and expertise with acquisition management, program management, budget/finance principles and methodologies, modernization planning, and the Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Executing (PPBE) process.
  • Review initial and revised acquisition documents and provide the enterprise level perspective to ensure consistency and accuracy.
  • Provide comments on acquisition documentation that add value from an enterprise perspective and facilitate an integrated, system-of-systems approach across the division.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Master's degree and 15 years of general work experience, 10 years of which must be in acquisition program management
  • Knowledge of defense acquisition policies outlined in DoDI 5000.02
  • Ability to assimilate information quickly, communicate effectively, and remain organized in order to monitor progress toward the accomplishment of various taskings and initiatives.
  • Work proactively, with minimal supervision, and effectively communicate orally and in writing, providing quality acquisition and program documentation (briefings, documents, plans, etc.).
  • Superior competency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Teams) and Adobe (Acrobat)
