QAQC Engineer
Senior QAQC Engineer - Traveling
This is a contract position for a Senior QAQC engineer, Must have Marine works, piling, and precast experience. US
Position Overview
The Senior QAQC Engineer will oversee the quality assurance and quality control processes in marine construction projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and project specifications. This role is critical in maintaining the highest levels of quality throughout project execution, particularly in piling and precast concrete operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement quality assurance and control procedures for marine construction projects.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Collaborate with project managers and construction teams to identify and resolve quality issues.
- Prepare and maintain documentation related to quality control processes and inspections.
- Provide training and guidance to junior QAQC staff on best practices and quality standards.
- Review and approve quality control plans and procedures submitted by subcontractors.
- Monitor construction processes, including piling and precast concrete work, to ensure adherence to project specifications.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in quality assurance and quality control within the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of QA/QC standards and practices, particularly in marine construction.
- Experience with piling and precast concrete processes.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with various stakeholders.
- Professional certifications related to quality control are a plus.
