We are hiring for a Sr. Application Support Analyst on our Epic Systems and Technical Support team that will be responsible for site assessments, software builds, (TDR) technical dress rehearsals, device installations, testing and implementations. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of Epic, incorporating all technical hardware and software components.

*While this team works remotely some of the time, this position requires on-site work in our Bronx and

Westchester NY locations as required.

*Montefiore currently requires immunizations for COVID-19 and flu.

Responsibilities:
  • Interact with clinicians/SMEs/end-users to obtain clarification on the use of devices as it relates to their clinical workflows to ensure superior customer service.
  • Work across interdisciplinary IT teams and medical center departments to gather requirements and specifications.
  • Conduct on-premises site surveys to assess hardware current and future needs.
  • Conduct on-premises site surveys to assess network current and future needs.
  • Clear and concise documentation using MS 365 products such as Excel, Viso, etc.
  • Epic print mapping for printers and workstations
  • Conduct Technical Dress Rehearsals (TDR) with all devices that integrate with Epic. Test workstations and peripheral devices, using Epic software modules and executing Epic test scripts to ensure printing queues are created, printers are mapped correctly, and peripheral devices are working as expected.
  • Third-party applications testing with Dragon (medical dictation), VPSX (Epic Print Server), (BCA) Business Continuity Access (Epic Downtime)
  • Serve as liaison with technical and clinical teams for setup and build of various hardware.
  • Convert specifications to logical flow charts.
  • Analyze user needs and software requirements to determine feasibility of design within time and cost constraints.
  • Modify existing software to correct errors, allow adaptation to new hardware, for enhancements, or to improve performance.
  • Test new development and modifications.
  • Installation of hardware, software, mobile devices, and other IT peripherals such as w orkstations, printers, e-signature pads, bar code scanners, and other end-user devices that integrate with the Epic.
  • Responsible for Cochlear and Dragon applications along with Rover, Proprio, e-signature pads and others
  • Support various Epic applications and product teams via Service Manager ticketing system.
  • Validate deployment packages to automate and ensure the quality of installation routines for new applications, service packs and/or upgrades.
  • Provide documentation on any failed workstations or devices, using Epic TDR Results Editor and Epic test-script outputs, to ensure proper and efficient turnaround times for failure, troubleshooting, and resolution. Understand expected results and document failures effectively based on test script requirements.
  • Follow-up and retest assigned issues.
  • Assist with Epic device readiness activities (e.g., device labeling)


Required:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Must be certified in at least one module of Epic. (Consideration will be given to candidates that are not currently certified but can demonstrate ability to become certified)
  • Device management including mobile devices (implementation, installation, and support)
  • Experience with preparations for and conducing Technical Dress Rehearsals
  • Experience with full-life cycle application/software implementations.
  • Application testing including Epic, UAT and Regression Testing
  • Extensive knowledge in hardware configuration and integrated workflows
  • Fundamental knowledge of legacy systems
  • Strong desktop application experience
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Critical thinking skills; s trong problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Eager to learn, exceptional listening skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent follow up skills, documentation skills and organizational skills.

  • Meeting requirements for Epic certification is a condition of employment.
