As a Product Director in Embedded Banking and Solutions, you lead innovation through the development of products and features that delight customers. As a leader on the team, you leverage your advanced capabilities to challenge traditional approaches, remove barriers to success, and foster a culture of continuous innovation that helps inspire cross-functional teams create groundbreaking solutions that address customer needs.

Job responsibilities
  • Oversees the product roadmap, vision, development, execution, risk management, and business growth targets
  • Leads the entire product life cycle through planning, execution, and future development by continuously adapting, developing new products and methodologies, managing risks, and achieving business targets like cost, features, reusability, and reliability to support growth
  • Coaches and mentors the product team on best practices, such as solution generation, market research, storyboarding, mind-mapping, prototyping methods, product adoption strategies, and product delivery, enabling them to effectively deliver on objectives
  • Owns product performance and is accountable for investing in enhancements to achieve business objectives
  • Monitors market trends, conducts competitive analysis, and identifies opportunities for product differentiation
  • Implement and execute against a comprehensive risk assessment and control framework for our newly created Embedded Banking & Solutions group; implement a clear risk appetite and target solution scope (client personas, use cases) for EB&S in closely partnership with product leaders in the group; Create and/or participate in deal governance and reviews for EB&S to ensure deal alignment to the risk & control framework
  • Enable new business initiatives and solutions, and enhance control design; Identify technology integration and/or enhancement required to execute the risk & control requirements; Establish meaningful set of risk & control metrics and comprehensive reporting on EB&S product suite.
  • Ongoing monitoring of these risks; Manage training to develop EB&S and broader payments employees on risk concepts and control framework for embedded solutions; Collaborate and align across LOBs within JPMC on risk and control for embedded solutions, e.g., with Chase Consumer and Community Bank and the Commercial Bank. Identify cross-LOB common risk factors.
  • Advise the EB&S solutions and PSS teams as well as the broader payment sales organization in deals complying with the defined risk & control framework, and militants if required; Partner effectively with colleagues across and within JPM Payments and across the firm, business, operations, legal, compliance, GFCC, risk, audit and regulators and technology control functions
  • Coaches and mentors the product team on best practices, such as solution generation, market research, storyboarding, mind-mapping, prototyping methods, product adoption strategies, and product delivery, enabling them to effectively deliver on objectives
  • Monitors market trends, conducts competitive analysis, and identifies opportunities for product differentiation


Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
  • 8+ years of experience or equivalent expertise delivering products, projects, or technology applications
  • Extensive knowledge of the product development life cycle, technical design, and data analytics
  • Proven ability to influence the adoption of key product life cycle activities including discovery, ideation, strategic development, requirements definition, and value management
  • Experience driving change within organizations and managing stakeholders across multiple functions
  • Experience in payment products, product risks (operational, reputational, GFCC, legal etc.), and risk management and control
  • Deep knowledge of Fintech business models and associated risk and regulatory considerations
  • Deep expertise in designing targeted risk & control governance and framework for payments
  • Highly experienced in operating in a sophisticated global banking and payments environment, in leading discussions with senior executives from legal, compliance, risk and GFCC, and with relevant regulators; Prior expense in payment product risk & control strongly desired
  • Proven ability to influence the adoption of key product life cycle activities including discovery, ideation, strategic development, requirements definition, and value management
  • Experience driving change within organizations and managing stakeholders across multiple functions
