Overview

We are seeking a full-time User Interface Production Artist in our Olathe, KS location. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality visual graphics for Garmin products.

Essential Functions
  • Prepare final software-ready image files based on supplied specifications for several types of product lines
  • Collaborate with user interface designers/software engineers to make various formats of supplied artwork production-ready and assist in resolution of artwork issues during production process
  • Follow established processes/guidelines to ensure tasks are being completed on time
  • Able to manage multiple basic projects in parallel from start to finish
  • Remain current on traditional graphics design skills and stay current on new graphics design tools and techniques

Basic Qualifications
  • Associate's Degree in Graphic Design/Visual Communication OR High School Diploma and a minimum of 3 years experience in a related field
  • Excellent academics (cumulative GPA greater than or equal to 3.0 as a general rule) with the demonstrated ability to apply learned knowledge
  • Proficient understanding of imaging formats, screen technology, quality control, and asset output
  • Proficient using Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator
  • Demonstrated strong and effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Must be team-oriented, possess a positive attitude, and collaborate effectively with others to achieve goals in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Proficient organizational/time management skills with keen attention to detail/ quality

Desired Qualifications
  • Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, Blender, Microsoft Office
  • Experience in Visual Communications or Graphic Design
