RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking an AI Software Developer in Fremont, CA (5 days onsite per week) for a 6 Month Contract to Hire opportunity.
Responsibilities:
Software Developer - Applied AI and Backend:
* Serve as a member of the service software development team, designing, developing, and implementing innovative AI solutions leveraging large language models (LLMs) and Python to enhance our service and customer support environments
* Contribute to backend API development using .NET to support scalable, robust applications
* Translate ambiguous problem statements into effective, scalable solutions by applying LLMs and related AI technologies
* Collaborate closely with partners in vehicle service operations, energy service operations, and customer support to address critical operational challenges
* Take ownership of AI-driven solutions and APIs in production, ensuring robust monitoring and alerting systems to address issues promptly
* Work with diverse data types, including text, voice, and tabular data, to build user-focused solutions
* Develop and deploy AI solutions using LLMs to solve real-world operational and customer support challenges
* Design and implement scalable backend APIs using .NET to support AI-driven applications and services
* Write high-quality, maintainable Python code for data processing, model integration, and application development
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and deliver tailored AI and backend solutions
* Implement monitoring and alerting mechanisms to ensure the reliability of production systems, including APIs and AI models
* Process and integrate diverse datasets (e.g., text, voice, tabular) to support AI applications
* Contribute to sustainable, modular codebases in both Python and .NET to streamline development and deployment
REQUIREMENTS:
* Strong proficiency in Python for building scalable, data-driven applications
* Experience developing backend APIs using .NET (e.g., ASP.NET Core) for robust, production-ready services
* Practical experience working with large language models (LLMs) or similar AI technologies for applied use cases
* Familiarity with at least one modern AI framework (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow, Hugging Face Transformers)
* Experience deploying and maintaining AI solutions and APIs in production environments
* Basic understanding of statistics to evaluate solution performance and feasibility
* Passion for writing clean, modular, and sustainable code in both Python and .NET to support rapid development and deployment
* Ability to work with diverse datasets, including text, voice, and tabular data
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
