Job Details

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • A minimum of 1 year progressive experience in a related field required
  • Certified Electronics Technician -ISCET, CEA, NARDA, NCEE preferred

A reasonable estimate of the current base salary range for this position is $22.12 to $27.64 an hour. Actual salary will be based on a variety of factors, including shift, location, experience, skill set, performance, licensure and certification, and business needs. The range for this position in other geographic locations may differ. Certain positions may also be eligible for variable incentive compensation, such as bonuses or commissions, that is not included in the base salary.

Job Summary

The Repair Technician I role utilizes mechanical and troubleshooting skills to diagnose and repair defects to restore items to OEM like functioning conditions. Requires working on the items' internal parts and with appropriate tools. This position troubleshoots problems that are not immediately apparent by performing tests utilizing basic test platforms. The Repair Technician I role reports directly to a Repair Supervisor.

Responsibilities
  • Verifies each unit's function by testing circuits, equipment & alarms, alongside identifying & correcting or escalating problems
  • Adherence to company, customer, and industry applicable standards
  • Follow established test procedures and diagrams to help troubleshoot and test
  • Ensures compliance with established codes, regulations and standards
  • Complete physical audit of equipment and accessories
  • Boxing and Unboxing of product
  • Disassemble non-complex units to diagnose issues and repair equipment.
  • Reassemble, adjust, and clean equipment as needed to provide a finished product.
  • Perform surface mount or through-hole soldering (as job functions or projects require) following established guidelines. (Program Specific Requirement)
  • Record maintenance and repair work performed on units.
  • Repairs systems and equipment by restoring, repairing, rebuilding, or replacing faulty or inoperative components and parts.
