Job Details

Lab Technician - 2nd Shift
2:00 pm - 10:00 pm M-F with possible overtime.
Contract Position
$27.50 per hour

Job Duties:
  • Prepare process and finished product samples
  • Perform analytical testing using instrumental, wet chemistry procedures.
  • Record results using computerized data systems.
  • Performs daily process monitoring tests throughout the plant as assigned.
  • Maintains samples of tested product to confirm test results.
  • Document result of all testing procedures and notify operations of required adjustments.
  • Enter and report data.
  • Understand production processes and make recommendations to operators to achieve product quality.
  • Perform light maintenance and calibration on all laboratory equipment.
  • Maintain records of the results of all testing procedures and inputs such data into computer daily.
  • Maintain adequate supplies for testing procedures - notifies the supervisor of the need to re-order.
  • Compare equipment readouts with samples of standards as required to ensure that all systems are operating accurately.
  • Maintains a neat and clean working area and effective working relationship with fellow employees.
  • Performs duties in a safe manner.
  • Maintains awareness and adheres to all FDA, GMP, BATF, EPA, OSHA and employer standards and guidelines.

Job Requirements:
  • High School Diploma Required. Associates degree preferred.
  • Microsoft Office Suite. (Outlook, Excel, Word, etc)
  • Experience with operating standard lab equipment (i.e., pH meter and spectrophotometer)
  • Multitasking
  • Organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
  • Ability to be on your feet for extended periods of time.
