Description
We are offering a permanent employment opportunity for a Network Engineer IV in Washington, District of Columbia. Working in a dynamic setting, the selected candidate will have the chance to provide comprehensive network engineering support across a broad range of programs. This involves the full system engineering life-cycle, including requirements analysis, design, development, integration, test, and implementation.
This role will be 100% onsite and requires a public trust security clearance.
Responsibilities
Carry out network planning, designing, and evaluation of various components effectively.
Evaluate and recommend new technologies to enhance current network capabilities.
Undertake difficult and complex assignments, demonstrating complete knowledge of the network engineering field.
Establish and recommend changes to policies impacting subordinate organizations.
Display leadership skills by providing guidance to other personnel and possibly supervising them.
Exhibit strong customer service skills by resolving customer inquiries and maintaining accurate customer credit records.
Show independent judgment in developing methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for achieving results.
Exhibit mastery in job-related tasks and responsibilities.
Demonstrate strong liaison skills by regularly interacting with senior management levels on matters concerning several functional areas, divisions, and/or customers.
Exhibit strong planning skills in determining and pursuing courses of action essential in obtaining desired outcomes.
Show strong management skills in meeting defined best practices and operational workflow.
Demonstrate ability to process customer credit applications accurately and efficiently.
Requirements
Excellent customer service skills are required
Proven management experience, preferably in a networking environment, is necessary
Ability to conduct training sessions for team members is essential
Experience in operations, specifically in the network engineering field, is needed
Proficiency in planning and executing network strategies is required
Deep understanding of procedures and policies related to network engineering is necessary
Experience in network design is essential
Supervising skills, with the capability to lead a team of network professionals, are needed
Knowledge of time management software 'About Time' is required
Leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate the team, are necessary
Experience in the implementation of network strategies is essential
Ability to act as a liaison between the network team and other departments is needed
Ability to provide clear and concise answers to technical queries is required
Familiarity with various network methods and techniques is necessary
Comfort in interacting with C-Suite executives is essential
Proficiency in best practices for network engineering is needed
Experience in component selection for network systems is required
Knowledge of HIPAA-regulated environments is necessary
Ability to set and achieve targets for the network department is essential
Ability to provide guidance to entry level team members is needed
Openness to occasional international travel is required
Experience in requirement analysis for network systems is necessary
Experience in handling credit approvals is essential
Ability to exercise independent judgment in decision-making is needed.
