Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Big Data Administrator to manage, monitor, and maintain our big data infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Hadoop ecosystem components and other big data technologies, ensuring high availability, security, and performance of our data platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, configure, and maintain Big Data tools such as Hadoop (HDFS, YARN), Hive, HBase, Spark, Kafka, and others.
• Monitor the performance and health of the big data cluster and resolve system issues.
• Manage user access and ensure data security and compliance.
• Plan and implement system upgrades, patches, and backups.
• Automate operational tasks and create monitoring dashboards and alerts.
• Work closely with data engineers and data scientists to support data pipelines and workflows.
• Manage cluster capacity and plan for scaling as data volume grows.
• Document system configurations, processes, and troubleshooting procedures.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in Big Data infrastructure administration.
• Strong expertise in Hadoop ecosystem tools: HDFS, Hive, Oozie, YARN, Spark, Zookeeper, and Kafka.
• Experience with Linux systems and shell scripting.
• Familiarity with monitoring tools like Ambari, Cloudera Manager, or Grafana.
• Knowledge of data security, backup, and recovery practices.
• Understanding of distributed systems and high availability architecture.
