Position : SAP ABAP Architect - Payroll
Location :Remote - EST candidates only
6-12 months contract ( possibility for a perm hire)

As a Global Architect, you'll lead product development and maintenance for a key portfolio, leveraging your deep SAP and ABAP programming expertise. This role demands architectural vision and hands-on proficiency in building robust SAP applications, particularly with ABAP HR/Payroll. You'll drive technical architecture, solution design, ABAP debugging, coding, configuration, and testing, ensuring enhancements and corrections meet business needs.
You'll operate independently, managing priorities and project assignments, reporting to the Director of Software Engineering. Collaboration will be frequent with peers on the Global Product Architect Team, as well as with various levels across Product, Implementation, Service, and Support.
Key Requirements :
- Bachelor s degree in computer science/engineering, IT, or a related technical field.
- 8-10 years of strong SAP ABAP Development and functional SAP Payroll experience (for at least one country).
- Prior experience as a Lead Engineer / Architect.
- Proficiency in ABAP for S4/HANA, Object-Oriented Programming (CDS & RAP are a plus).
- Experience with system integration using Rest APIs, RFCs, and OData Services.
- Experience with SAP Fiori UI5 applications and SAP Payroll Control Center are a plus.
- Familiarity with agile methodologies and tools like Jira is an advantage.
- Ability to translate business requirements into global, scalable designs.
- Skill in creating accurate development estimates.
- Excellent written and verbal communication in English, with an appreciation for cultural nuances.
- Proven ability to work independently, adapt to change, and make sound decisions.
- Self-starter with strong initiative and flexibility to accommodate various time zones.
