Role Overview
As a UX Researcher on the M365 Outlook Calendar team, you'll lead research initiatives focused on Copilot/AI features. Your work will uncover deep customer insights that directly shape product decisions and improve usability across M365 web products.

Role Overview
As a UX Researcher on the M365 Outlook Calendar team, you'll lead research initiatives focused on Copilot/AI features. Your work will uncover deep customer insights that directly shape product decisions and improve usability across M365 web products.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and execute remote usability studies (moderated and unmoderated)
- Analyze and synthesize qualitative and quantitative data into actionable insights
- Create compelling reports, video compilations, and issue tracking documentation
- Prioritize findings across data sources and track the impact of research over time
- Minimum 2 years of UX research experience, or 1 year in UX research with 2+ years in related product-making roles (e.g., design, data science, project management)
- Proven ability to work independently and proactively in a fast-paced environment
- Strong project management, organization, and planning skills
- Experience writing surveys and analyzing basic quantitative data
- Skilled in qualitative research methods and insight synthesis
- Degree in HCI, Cognitive Science, Psychology, Anthropology, Statistics, or a related field
- Effective communicator and collaborator with cross-functional teams
- Experience with UserTesting.com and other online research tools
- Video editing skills for research storytelling
- Demonstrated ability to observe and synthesize human behavior into product insights
- Familiarity with LLM-based AI tools (e.g., Copilot, ChatGPT, Gemini)
- Bonus: Experience using AI tools for research synthesis (e.g., Copilot, Marvin)
- No experience in digital product creation
- Inability to commit to the full 18-month contract
