Job Details

A BI Developer with 8 10 years' experience is responsible for architecting, modeling, and implementing business intelligence solutions using the Microsoft SQL Server BI Stack (SSIS, SSRS, SSAS), Power BI, and related analytics tools, converting complex data into actionable insights for internal and client stakeholders.

Location - Dallas,TX Jersey City,NJ

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and deploy business intelligence solutions using Power BI, SSAS, SSRS, SSIS, and T-SQL, including dashboards, reports, and advanced analytics workflows.

Transform, prepare, and model data from diverse source systems, utilizing data gateway components and robust ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) frameworks.

Execute comprehensive data modeling, database administration, data warehousing, OLAP, DAX, and MDX queries to support both operational and strategic business reporting.

Collaborate across internal teams and directly with clients to translate business requirements into technical artifacts, clearly explaining designs and results, while maintaining documentation throughout the solution lifecycle.

Develop and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and Power Query solutions for Power BI reports and self-service analytics.

Ensure accuracy, quality, and governance of BI data and reports; drive enhancement initiatives for data preparation and visualization capabilities.

Stay current on BI and data visualization technologies and foster an environment of continual learning and development within an Agile framework.

Required Skills & Qualifications

BS in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, with 8+ years of BI or data engineering experience.

Extensive hands-on expertise in Microsoft SQL Server BI Stack (Power BI, SSIS, SSRS, SSAS), T-SQL, DAX, MDX, SQL Server, and data gateways.

Proven experience in designing, building, and maintaining data warehouses and OLAP cubes, supporting high-volume reporting solutions.

Strong proficiency in Power BI desktop, including DAX queries, visualization techniques, and performance optimization.

Knowledge of BI technologies (e.g., Oracle BI, data warehousing best practices), Agile development practices, and rapid iteration.

Exceptional communication, analytical, and documentation skills. Must be able to articulate complex models to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Strong problem-solving and independent analytical thinking, especially in a fast-paced, continuously evolving environment.
