Description

SAIC is seeking an ArcGIS Enterprise Administrator with experience in ArcGIS Server, Portal for ArcGIS, and ArcGIS Online (AGOL). The successful candidate will maintain and upgrade enterprise GIS software, services, and web applications for the customer

organization and keep the infrastructure updated, scaled according to capacity needs and performing optimally. The position requires working with IT and GIS system users to solve complex, advanced issues.

Responsibilities and Duties:
  • Operationally support and maintain the Esri ArcGIS Enterprise environments including Esri Portal, Datastore, and ArcGIS Server.
  • Support the currently deployed Esri product suite and all future releases of the Esri product lines.
  • Upgrade the ArcGIS Enterprise systems to applicable or latest versions.
  • Complete ArcGIS software patching for systems on a manual and automated cycle.
  • Support the organization with any needs regarding ArcGIS software requirements and troubleshoot GIS software issues to ensure full functionality.
  • Work with various programs to integrate data from other systems of record to support customer requirements and advance GIS initiatives.
  • Ensure all data is secured and only accessible as appropriate, in compliance with agency policies and privacy laws.
  • Document and manage all application user guides, work processes, server configurations, enterprise architecture settings, and GIS database connections/accounts.
  • Understand and apply the ArcGIS Products Life Cycle.
  • Provide technical insight and recommendations to determine GIS policies, objectives, and for potential GIS software purchases.
  • Formulate implementation options, conduct research, and convert strategies to action plans with timetables and deadlines.
  • Create and maintain external data source consumption by GIS programs.
  • Assist in developing system processes, standards, and documentation for the GIS department.
  • Code in SQL, Python.

Qualifications

Required:
  • Bachelor's Degree (preferred) 9+ years of experience with a major emphasis in GIS, Computer Science/Engineering, Cartography, Geography. (4 years experience in lieu of degree)
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a USDA Public Trust.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience with geospatial data, analysis, maps, services, and applications.
  • Experience with documenting complex, technical processes.
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in ArcGIS applications and software support, specifically ArcGIS Enterprise Portal, ArcGIS Pro; SQL database administration; Programming using SQL, Python.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills.

Target salary range: $120,001 - $160,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
