Job Details

Job Duties:-
initiates animal tissue dissection and grossing; conducts tissue processing, embedding, and staining maintains orderly storage systems for paraffin blocks, frozen blocks, and finished slides; maintains the inventory of supplies in pathology; maintains supplies of fixatives, solvents, materials, and other supplies for preservation and processing of tissues into completed routine slides; prepares, maintains, and files lab records, observations, and worksheets; assists in specimen receiving, preparation, and examination; updating or retrieving data from the database or electronic files as requested.
Mandatory skills/certification(s) Requirement:
Histo technician (HT) or Histo technologist (HTL) certification or eligibility for certification issued by the American Society of Clinical Pathology (ASCP)
