Role: Node.js Architect
Location: Chicago, Dallas, and New York (Onsite)
Duration: 6+ months contract

Role Overview
Seeking a Node.js Architect to design end-to-end architecture for scalable, customer-facing APIs and microservices. You'll drive technical design, guide teams, and ensure enterprise-grade production quality.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect domain-driven, event-aware microservices (Node.js/TypeScript)
• Define service boundaries, data models, and event streams
• Set and enforce API design and coding standards
• Oversee production systems, incident response, and performance optimization
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver integrated solutions
• Mentor teams, conduct code reviews, and promote technical excellence

Tech Stack

• Backend: Node.js, TypeScript, Express/Fastify/NestJS
• APIs: REST, OAuth2/OIDC, JWT, Swagger/OpenAPI
• Database: PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB/DynamoDB, Redis
• Messaging: Kafka / RabbitMQ
• Cloud & Infra: AWS/Azure/Google Cloud Platform, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform/CloudFormation
• CI/CD & Monitoring: Jenkins/GitHub Actions, ELK, Datadog, Prometheus, OpenTelemetry

Must Have

• Proven experience building and scaling Node.js/TypeScript microservices
• Strong background in DDD, cloud architecture, and CI/CD automation
• Kubernetes and cloud-native operations experience
• Excellent communication and leadership skills

Nice to Have

• Telecom domain experience
• API gateway and multi-tenant architecture knowledge
• Cloud cost and performance optimization experience
