Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Oracle Database Administrator (DBA) with 7-8 years of experience to manage, maintain, and optimize our Oracle database environments. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in database management, performance tuning, and a proven track record of handling production databases, including backups, policies, and security. Familiarity with Oracle 19c and later versions is essential, with knowledge of Oracle 23ai being a significant advantage. Experience in migrating on-premise Oracle databases to Azure Cloud is also a key requirement for this role.

Experience: 7+ Years

• Install, configure, and maintain Oracle databases in cloud, ensuring optimal performance, availability, and security.
• Perform advanced query tuning and optimization to enhance database performance and efficiency.
• Manage and monitor production Oracle databases, ensuring high availability and disaster recovery readiness.
• Implement and manage database backup and recovery strategies, including RMAN and Data Guard.
• Develop and enforce database security policies, access controls, and auditing procedures.
• Plan and execute migration of on-premise Oracle databases to Azure Cloud, ensuring data integrity and minimal downtime.
• Provide expert-level support for Oracle 19c and later versions, including patching, upgrades, and troubleshooting.

Qualifications

• 7-8 years of progressive experience as an Oracle DBA.
• Strong expertise in Oracle database administration, including installation, configuration, patching, and upgrades.
• Proven experience with Oracle 19c and later versions; knowledge of Oracle 23ai is a huge plus.
• In-depth knowledge of SQL and PL/SQL, with advanced skills in query tuning and performance optimization.
• Extensive experience with production database management, including high availability (RAC, Data Guard) and disaster recovery solutions.
• Demonstrated experience with Oracle database backup and recovery strategies (RMAN).
• Solid understanding and practical experience with database security best practices and implementation.
• Experience in migrating Oracle databases from on-premise environments to Azure Cloud.
• Familiarity with cloud database services in Azure (e.g., Azure Database for PostgreSQL, Azure SQL Database) is a plus.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Preferred Skills

• Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) or Oracle Certified Master (OCM) certification. Knowledge of scripting languages (Shell, Python) for automation.
