Job Description:
- We are seeking a highly motivated and dynamic Firmware QA Engineer to join our team working on CPU for cutting-edge server systems.
- The role involves executing manual and automated tests, identifying and reporting failures, and collaborating with engineering and debug teams.
Responsibilities:
- Execute manual and automated test procedures to validate hardware and software features.
- Capture, analyze, and report failures using various test tools and utilities.
- Record and document test results and failure descriptions in databases.
- Candidateage and validate test cases in alignment with documented procedures.
Requirement/Must Have:
- Strong background in computer hardware, software, and PC architecture.
- Proficient in hardware and software troubleshooting.
- Ability to troubleshoot hardware compatibility issues using PC architecture knowledge.
- Highly self-motivated, able to work independently and collaboratively.
- Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and analytical skills.
- Quick learner with the ability to grasp complex technical concepts.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Should Have:
- Understanding of server CPU architecture and system BIOS.
- Familiarity with interconnects and memory technologies (e.g. PCIe, CXL, DDR).
- Working knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems.
- Experience with defect tracking systems (e.g. Jira) and collaboration platforms (e.g. Confluence).
- Experience installing Linux and Windows OS, including device drivers.
- Comfort with scripting or familiarity with test automation.
Qualification And Education:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Technology, or related field, or equivalent training and experience.
