Application Security Engineer
Location: Raleigh/Durham, NC - Hybrid Position Working 3 Days in Office and 2 days remote

What You'll Do
Be a Security Advocate - Work alongside development, DevOps, and product teams to integrate security best practices across the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
Identify & Eliminate Threats - Perform security reviews, threat modeling, and vulnerability assessments to uncover and mitigate risks before they become threats.
Shape the Future of Application Security - Define and implement security policies, controls, and standards to safeguard applications and data.
Enhance Security Tooling - Configure and optimize Web Application Firewalls (WAF), Runtime Application Self-Protection (RASP), and other security solutions.
Stay Ahead of Cyber Threats - Conduct research on emerging security trends and contribute to the continuous evolution of our security strategy.
Empower Teams with Security Knowledge - Coach developers on secure coding practices, helping them build security into every stage of development.

What We're Looking For
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field
3+ years of minimum work experience with strong understanding of secure coding practices, OWASP Top 10 vulnerabilities, and security frameworks.
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, DevSecOps principles, and automation.
Proficiency in scripting languages like Python for security tooling and automation.
Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a security-first mindset.
Hands-on experience with security tools like SAST, DAST, SCA.
Bonus Points (Not required, but nice to have!)
Experience with cloud security (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform).
Knowledge of container security and serverless computing.
