Job description:
Full Stack Engineer
- We are looking for a motivated, versatile, independent engineer interested in pushing the status quo to deliver a lot with only a little.
- The ideal candidate has experience building products across the stack and a firm understanding of AWS cloud infrastructure, web frameworks, APIs, databases, and multiple back-end languages.
- If you are someone who can bridge the gap between the user-facing side of an application and the underlying infrastructure, ensuring a seamless and efficient user experience
Responsibilities:
- Work across the full stack, building highly scalable distributed solutions that enable positive user experiences
- Develop new features and infrastructure in support of rapidly emerging business and project requirements
- Ensure seamless integration between front-end and back-end by designing and implementing APIs, data models, and communication protocols between the different parts of the application.
- Ensure application security, performance, uptime, and scale through sound cloud infrastructure engineering
- Maintain high standards for code quality and application design
- Work primarily in TypeScript, React, JavaScript/HTML/CSS
- Bring to life the vision of our designers and collaborate with solution architects to create reusable web components and reliable APIs
- Participate in all aspects of agile software development, including design, implementation, and deployment
- Work with agile development methodologies, adhering to best practices and pursuing continued learning opportunities
Desired skills and qualifications:
- At least three years of experience in building large-scale software applications
- Experience creating infrastructure-as-code (AWS CDK a plus)
- Experience in building web applications (React experience a plus)
- Experience in designing and integrating RESTful APIs (GraphQL a plus)
- Knowledge of TypeScript/JavaScript
- Excellent debugging and optimization skills
- Experience in unit/integration testing
