Title: Senior Mechanical Design Engineer
Location: REMOTE
Job Type: Full Time
Mandate:
7-15 yrs expDesigned aero derivative gas turbines (Lighter-weight version of a traditional gas turbine) in land-based power generation industries or aerospace
Must have experience in design of Power turbine components, Nozzles, Turbine blades, Shrouds, Disks, Shafts, Rotor blades Valves, and case of power turbine.
Develop solid NX 3-D models

Job Summary:
- 5 to 10 years of experience in design of component/assembly for aero derivative engines ideally in the power generation or power services industries
- Recreate digital representations of aeroderivative engine components utilizing available scans, existing hardware, and/or detailed 2-D drawings.
- Develop solid NX 3-D models and corresponding component manufacturing drawings for each replicated part.
- Must have experience in design of Power turbine components, Nozzles, Turbine blades, Shrouds, Disks, and case of power turbine.
- Apply industry-standard tolerancing practices, leveraging both contractor's in-house expertise and customer's guidelines.
- Provide support for supplier development activities related to specified aeroderivative components.
- Adhere to the modeling and drawing architecture established by the company Product Definition Engineering (PDE) team throughout all activities.
- Provide engineering analysis in support of hardware departure records for aeroderivative engine components.
- Develop baseline stress models for rotating equipment-including disks, spools, and shafts- by leveraging aircraft engine component design and analysis expertise. These models will support the evaluation of component failure/distress investigations as well as making improvements to new make and developing repair modifications.
- Create standard work processes, including design guides and aeroderivative-specific design methodologies, aligned with aircraft engine industry best practices for stress analysis and lifting of rotating equipment components.
- Support supplier development activities and qualifications for designated aeroderivative components for industrialization of repair hardware and new make spares.
- Conduct internal reviews and provide recommendations by leveraging contractors' in-house expertise in accordance with established aeroderivative processes and best practices. This encompasses the final release of component/assembly definitions, and any critical decisions or trade-offs related to modifications and improvements.

- Masters or Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering
