Our challenge

We are seeking a highly experienced and capable Test Automation Lead to spearhead our testing initiatives across multiple squads within the banking domain. The ideal candidate will have a strong leadership background, excellent coordination skills, and a deep understanding of testing concepts. This role requires collaboration across teams, strategic planning, and technical proficiency in test automation frameworks.

Additional Information*

The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors. In accordance with law, the base salary for this role if filled within New York, NY is $110k - $150k/year & benefits (see below).

The Role

Responsibilities:
  • Lead and coordinate testing activities across multiple squads, ensuring alignment and timely delivery.
  • Develop and communicate comprehensive Test Plans and Test Strategies in line with project requirements.
  • Act as the primary point of contact to gather requirements from various teams and translate them into actionable testing plans.
  • Plan regression testing timelines and oversee execution to ensure deadlines are met.
  • Drive defect triage calls, track issues, and ensure effective resolution.
  • Adequatelyprepare and be the EST (Eastern Standard Time) counterpart for the team.
  • Build a collaborative environment between QA and development teams.
  • Strong hands-on experience with testing concepts, methodologies, and test lifecycle management.
  • Proven expertise in test planning and test strategy formulation.
  • Extensive experience working within the banking domain.
  • Well-versed with one or more test automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium, QTP, or similar).
  • Ability and willingness to upskill and adapt to Cypress and TypeScript for automation.
  • Good understanding of continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) pipelines related to testing.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • 8+ years of testing experience with at least 3+ years in a Lead/Managerial role.
  • Prior experience in a similar Banking domain role is mandatory.

  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Strong coordination abilities across multiple teams and stakeholders.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced financial services environment.
