As an Electrical Engineer based in Orlando, FL, you'll be using your design and analysis skills to plan and design electrical systems for buildings and facilities, including power system planning, power distribution, lighting design, fire and life safety systems, low voltage distribution systems, and construction coordination.
We're looking for an Electrical Engineer in Orlando, FL who is excited about working on projects that enable the heart of our clients' business. Join us and you'll have the chance to work on projects including industrial, commercial, grocery and retail. You'll be accountable for schedule and technical quality of challenging engineering tasks, as you gain familiarity with the client's expectations, scope, budget, and schedule. You'll also provide on-site assistance during startup, coordinate work activities with other staff members and the discipline lead. Your multi-discipline, highly interactive team will produce designs for low voltage power, Lighting, Grounding, Fire Alarm, and electrical calculations.
Here's what you'll need
Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (B.S.E.E.) from an ABET accredited college or university.
1-2 years of electrical engineering (design of commercial buildings, electrical systems) experience.
EI/EIT certification or willingness to obtain within 6 months of being hired.
Knowledge in the use of CADD (AutoCAD or Revit) and other specialized design software as required.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Access).
Knowledge of applicable building codes and industry standards in electrical design as it pertains to National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) standards with an emphasis on the National Electrical Code (NFPA 70).
Strong communication skills both verbal and written.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Displayed ability to learn quickly and driven to broaden knowledge base.
Ability to collaborate and work effectively in a variety of teams, including multi-disciplinary teams.
Preferred Qualifications
1-2 years of electrical engineering (design of commercial buildings, electrical systems) experience within the retail grocery industry.
FE exam completion
Experience with AGi32 Lighting Software
Experience with power systems analysis software (SKM, ETAP, Easypower)
Knowledge of retail grocery operations and equipment.
