Job Details
We are seeking a Mechanical Engineering Intern to join our team. The intern will contribute to a variety of materials research and development initiatives by designing, prototyping, and supporting mechanical components and assemblies. This role offers hands-on experience in a dynamic lab and fabrication environment, including collaboration with an on-site machine shop and use of in-house 3D printing resources.

Key Responsibilities:
- Design custom assemblies including mounts, enclosures, and other mechanical structures to support research and development activities.
- Provide 3D models and 2D machinable prints for custom designs.
- Work with on-site machine shop to develop and integrate custom and COTS assemblies.
- Use on-site 3D printer for prototype development and construction of 3D printable custom assemblies.
- Support other R&D activities as needed.
Qualifications:
- A current student in good standing at accredited university seeking a Bachelor's or Master's degree in an Engineering or related discipline.
- Due to the nature of this position U.S. citizenship is required.
