ROLE: Project Scheduler

LOCATION: Nashville, TN

Note: **Please do not share resumes if the individual has not been or is not currently Project Scheduler. This role is not for an Project Analyst, Administrative Position, or Project Manager. The individual will be core Project Schedule for our team

Candidate should be local to Nashville, TN area or willing to relocate to Nashville, TN for the position; position includes being on-site in office when required for project team support

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Must be local to Nashville, TN and ability to come to the office as requested/needed on a weekly basis.
  • Expert knowledge of Microsoft Project Standard AND Professional (no need for training of any functionalities, this is a must.)
  • Abilities to manage 30+ project work plans on a weekly basis across multiple agencies/projects.
  • Consulting with project managers and technical experts to set up assignments, tasks, and subtasks.
  • Developing, implementing, and maintaining an effective scheduling management system.
  • Coordinating project timelines with internal departments and external stakeholders.
  • Monitoring project timelines and deadlines.
  • Identifying potential project schedule delays and facilitating intervention in a timely manner.
  • Evaluating performance and preparing project progress reports.
  • Accommodating updates and changes to project schedules.
  • Recommending actions to keep projects within budget and completed on time.
  • Keeping stakeholders informed of project timelines and deadlines.
  • Documenting project scheduling processes and maintaining records.
  • Ability to train/conduct office hours for other PMO Analysts on Microsoft Project and TN Project Standards.
  • Ability to submit project schedule data to appropriate stakeholder applications and teams.

Knowledge & Skill Requirements:

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Project standard and professional.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project, and Visio).
  • Strong collaboration and customer service skills.
  • Advanced ability to evaluate project progress and facilitate interventions.
  • Ability to work in a high-paced fast environment with multiple project teams.
  • Understanding of the Systems Development Lifecycle (SDLC) including Waterfall and Agile Methodologies.
  • Excellent organization, prioritization, planning, and general administration skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks in parallel.
  • Desire to be proactive and create a positive experience for others.
  • Excellent computer skills, especially typing.
  • Strong ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to work well independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of project tools such as JIRA and Jama preferred but not required.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Prior relevant experience of at least two years with large organizations with multiple projects and teams.
  • A minimum of two years' experience as a project scheduler in a related industry.
  • Bachelor degree preferred, Associate degree will be considered.
