Role: Technical Business Analyst with Financial Domain in GA/IL
Location: Atlanta, GA (Hybrid – Atlanta, GA or Chicago, IL)
Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Business Analyst with strong domain expertise in retail banking and payment systems, along with hands-on experience working with Microsoft Dynamics 365 applications. This hybrid role acts as a critical bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring the successful delivery of banking and payment-related initiatives leveraging Dynamics 365 platforms.
Key Responsibilities
Business Analysis & Stakeholder Engagement
- Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to elicit, analyze, document, and validate requirements related to retail banking and payment processes.
- Facilitate workshops, interviews, and working sessions to define business needs and functional requirements.
Backlog Management & Agile Support
- Maintain and refine user stories, acceptance criteria, and backlog items using Azure DevOps.
- Support sprint planning, backlog grooming, and prioritization activities for development teams.
Solution Design & Functional Specifications
- Translate business requirements into clear and detailed functional specifications for Microsoft Dynamics 365 modules, including Finance, Customer Service, and Payments.
- Support solution design by aligning system capabilities with business objectives.
Process Mapping & Optimization
- Analyze existing workflows and end-to-end processes to identify gaps, inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities.
- Recommend process enhancements aligned with industry best practices and regulatory standards.
Integration & Data Management
- Support integration of Dynamics 365 with core banking platforms, payment gateways, and third-party applications.
- Assist with API integrations, data migration activities, and validation using SQL-based queries where applicable.
Testing, UAT & Quality Assurance
- Develop and execute test cases, coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and validate that delivered solutions meet business, functional, and regulatory requirements.
- Work closely with QA and development teams to track and resolve defects.
Documentation, Training & Support
- Prepare user guides, process documentation, and training materials.
- Deliver training sessions and provide post-implementation support to business users.
Compliance & Security
- Ensure solutions comply with banking regulations, PCI DSS standards, and data privacy requirements.
- Partner with risk, compliance, and security teams as needed.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Computer Science, or a related field.
Experience
- 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst within the retail banking or payments domain.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365, including Finance & Operations and Customer Engagement modules.
Technical Skills
- Strong understanding of banking operations, payment systems, and card processing.
- Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps for backlog and requirement management.
- Familiarity with API integrations, data migration, and SQL for data validation and analysis.
Soft Skills
- Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and facilitation abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum delivery environments.
- Knowledge of ISO 20022, SWIFT, and ACH payment standards.
- Microsoft certifications related to Dynamics 365.
