Key Responsibilities
- Monitor automated data loads and SQL jobs to ensure successful, timely execution; investigate failures and resolve issues quickly.
- Validate file continuity, record counts, and historical trends to ensure accuracy and integrity.
- Proactively detect and address late or missing files using both automated checks and adhoc SQL queries.
- Review “Pending Actions” dashboards and resolve statuses such as Loading, Move, Unknown, Load-Manual, Decrypt-Manual, Load-Error, Review.
- Document and communicate issues, resolutions, and operational impacts clearly to technical and business teams.
- Provide actionable insights into data quality, timeliness, and completeness to support client delivery.
- Partner with developers, analysts, and stakeholders to ensure pipelines meet analytic and reporting needs.
- Contribute to the advancement of data workflows into Azure Data Factory and Snowflake, helping shape company's next-generation data platform.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with T-SQL (stored procedures, functions) and SQL Server (development & administration).
- T-SQL optimization, performance tuning, and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and accountability for operational reliability.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills, able to work across technical and business teams.
Preferred
- Experience monitoring and troubleshooting automated file-based ETL workflows.
- Familiarity with healthcare claims data and file formats (e.g., fixed width, csv).
- Jira or similar ticketing systems experience.
- Background in data quality monitoring.
