QA Automation Engineer (Selenium) FinTech | Backend Testing

Mandatory: FinTech/Banking/Payments domain experience Consultant s only
We are seeking a skilled QA Automation Engineer with strong expertise in Selenium, API/Backend testing, and experience working in FinTech or financial services environments. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing automated test frameworks to ensure the highest level of quality across our applications.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, maintain, and execute Selenium-based automation frameworks for web applications.
Perform backend/API testing using tools such as Postman, RestAssured, SoapUI, etc.
Analyze business requirements and create comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
Collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and business teams to ensure coverage and quality.
Conduct functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing.
Identify, log, prioritize, and track defects using JIRA or similar tools.
Participate in CI/CD pipeline integration and automation (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, etc.).
Work in an Agile/Scrum environment and contribute to sprint planning and retrospectives.
Ensure test coverage for financial/FinTech features including payments, transactions, risk, compliance, etc.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
3 7+ years of experience in QA Automation.
Strong experience with Selenium WebDriver, Java/Python, TestNG/JUnit.
Solid experience in API testing and backend validation.
Familiarity with databases (SQL/MySQL/PostgreSQL) for data validation.
Experience working with version control tools (Git).
Experience with Agile methodologies.
Strong understanding of QA concepts, SDLC/STLC, and defect management.
Good to Have
Experience in FinTech/Banking/Payments domain.
Experience with RestAssured, Cucumber/BDD frameworks.
Exposure to cloud technologies (AWS, Google Cloud Platform, Azure).
Performance testing experience (JMeter, LoadRunner) is a plus.
