We are seeking an experienced DevSecOps Solutions Engineer to join our team and drive the design, implementation, and optimization of our security-focused automation infrastructure. This role requires a strategic thinker who can architect robust DevSecOps solutions while working collaboratively with product and engineering teams to deliver secure, automated, and efficient release pipelines.

responsibilities:

Key Responsibilities


DevSecOps Architecture & Design


  • Design and implement comprehensive DevSecOps methodologies, processes, and frameworks that prioritize automation, security, and release management
  • Participate in architectural discussions and provide technical insights, recommendations, and innovative solutions to complex infrastructure challenges
  • Develop and maintain infrastructure-as-code solutions using Terraform/OpenTofu for scalable and repeatable deployments
  • Design and optimize CI/CD pipelines with security gates integrated throughout the software delivery lifecycle
  • Integrate AI-driven insights into CI/CD pipelines for continuous improvement and risk assessment
  • Develop automated runbooks and self-healing infrastructure using AIOps platforms
  • Automate ML model deployment workflows with rollback capabilities and A/B testing
Automation & Implementation


  • Build, deploy, and maintain automated workflows using Harness DevSecOps platform for continuous integration, delivery, and verification
  • Develop custom automation solutions and integrations to address specific business and technical requirements
  • Implement security automation tools and practices including SAST, DAST, container scanning, and compliance checks
  • Orchestrate and manage Kubernetes clusters on AWS, ensuring high availability, scalability, and security
  • Configure and optimize Harness modules including CI/CD pipelines, feature flags, cloud cost management, and security testing orchestration
Release Management & Operations


  • Own the end-to-end release management process with a focus on automation, reliability, and security
  • Implement and optimize continuous deployment strategies including blue-green deployments, canary releases, and rollback mechanisms using Harness
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve issues in production and non-production environments
  • Establish and maintain DevSecOps metrics, dashboards, and reporting mechanisms
Collaboration & Communication


  • Work closely with Product, Engineering, and Security teams on daily operational activities and strategic initiatives
  • Communicate technical concepts clearly and effectively to diverse audiences including leadership, engineering teams, and stakeholders
  • Mentor team members on DevSecOps best practices, tools, and methodologies
  • Document architectures, processes, and procedures to ensure knowledge sharing and continuity




qualifications:

Required Qualifications


Experience


7+ years of hands-on experience in DevOps, DevSecOps, or related infrastructure engineering roles


Proven track record of designing and implementing enterprise-scale DevSecOps solutions


Extensive experience with CI/CD pipeline design, implementation, and optimization


Technical Skills


Harness Platform: Strong experience with Harness DevSecOps platform including Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery, Continuous Verification, Feature Flags, and Security Testing Orchestration


GitHub: Expert-level proficiency in repository management, version control, and GitHub Enterprise features


Infrastructure as Code: Strong experience with Terraform and/or OpenTofu for multi-cloud infrastructure provisioning


Container Orchestration: Deep knowledge of Kubernetes architecture, deployment patterns, security, and operations


Cloud Platforms: Solid experience with AWS services including EKS, ECS, EC2, VPC, IAM, S3, and CloudFormation


Security Tools: Hands-on experience with security scanning tools, vulnerability management, secrets management, and compliance frameworks


Scripting & Development: Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Bash, Go) for custom automation development


Soft Skills


Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders


Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail


Collaborative mindset with experience working in cross-functional agile teams


Self-motivated with ability to manage multiple priorities and drive projects to completion


Preferred Qualifications


Advanced Harness Expertise: Experience with Harness GitOps, Chaos Engineering, Service Reliability Management, and Cloud Cost Management modules


Experience with GitHub Actions/Gitlab or similar DevSecOps tools


Harness certifications (Continuous Delivery & GitOps, Continuous Integration, or Platform Engineering)


Experience with additional DevSecOps tools such as SonarQube, Snyk, Aqua Security, or similar


Knowledge of compliance frameworks


Experience with service mesh technologies (Istio, Linkerd)


Familiarity with observability tools (Dynatrace, Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk)


Understanding of GitOps methodologies (ArgoCD, Flux)


AWS certifications (Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer, Security Specialty)


Kubernetes certifications
